Hillcrest students get visit from special dog

LAKE WALES – After working with her third grade students on “Rosie, A Visiting Dog’s Story,” teacher Kelly Stentz decided to conclude the lesson by inviting Erica Sirrine and her visiting dog Asia to Hillcrest Elementary. Students learned how Asia became a visiting dog, and how she interacts with adults and children in hospitals, nursing homes and counseling situations.
