Art students love Alberto Cruz master class

Sep 14th, 2012

LAKE WALES – Janie Howard Wilson Elementary’s fifth grade art students sat spellbound at the feet – literally – of modern artist Alberto Cruz during a special master class Friday (Sept. 14).

Art teacher Tiffany Weaver invited the Sarasota-based painter to speak with students. He explained the difference between impressionism, abstract and modern styles. Business partner Shelly Windham of Shelly Windham Interior Design donated money for the school to purchase a Cruz painting, which was unveiled during the lecture.
