Bok delivers holiday baskets

Dec 19th, 2012

LAKE WALES – Bok Academy guidance counselor Leanne Thrift (left), administrative assistant Tami Lefstead and Principal Damien Moses prepare to load “holiday health baskets” for delivery to 10 school families earlier this week.

Each department at the school helped fill baskets with items for dental hygiene, body hygiene, and products for the home. Each family also got a food-only Publix gift card, which was purchased with money collected on a “dress down” day when students donated $1 to dress out-of-uniform.

(On the day this photo was taken, Thrift, Lefstead and Moses joined other members of the Bok “family” by wearing green to show support for Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.)
