Bok hosts Parent Technology Night

May 10th, 2012

LAKE WALES – Bok Academy will host a special Parent Technology Night beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17.

Bok parents may attend as many as five 20-minute sessions to learn about Nook e-readers; the school’s Overdrive online library; educational websites and apps; social networking; and Facebook 101.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to come together to learn important information. They can ask questions about the technology their children use on a daily basis,” said Principal Damien Moses.

“Technology changes almost daily, and it can be difficult for parents to keep up. Coming together benefits our school community as a whole,” he said.

The sessions will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. Bok Academy also will provide a light dinner for participants. A Steel Drums Concert will follow at 7 p.m.
