Cheerleaders prep for Turkey Jamboree

LAKE WALES – The Janie Howard Wilson Elementary cheerleading squad has been practicing in preparation for the first-ever Lake Wales Elementary Turkey Football Jamboree on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Legion Field.

The Turkey Football Jamboree is a motivational sports event for 5th grade students, who must have good grades and behavior to participate.  Elementary flag football teams will play each other in brief games, starting about 9:30 a.m. and ending about noon.

The morning will begin at 9 a.m. with welcomes, and cheer routines from each school.  The morning will also include pep band music, and entertainment from Bok and Lake Wales High cheerleaders.
