LAKE WALES – The Lake Wales Charter Schools will host EXPO 2013 on Saturday, Jan. 19 to celebrate the success of the system’s six public schools.
EXPO 2013 will include student demonstrations, performances, and school exhibits. The free event will take place from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 on the campus of Lake Wales High School.
A “Taste of Lake Wales” will include food from local restaurants, including Arcade Coffee and Sandwich Shoppe, Beans-N-Brushes, Beef O’Brady’s, Bob Evans, King’s Burgers, and Topper’s Creamery.
The six LWCS schools are Lake Wales High, Dale R. Fair Babson Park Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, Janie Howard Wilson Elementary, Polk Avenue Elementary and Edward W. Bok Academy middle school.




LAKE WALES – Lake Wales High School has several community partners who will share their parking lots for graduation guests next week.
LAKELAND – The crowd went wild Tuesday (May 21) when third grader Carlos Salgado (pictured) threw out the first pitch at the Lakeland Flying Tigers baseball game against the Fort Myers Miracles.
LAKE WALES – Lake Wales High’s Special Olympic track and field relay team qualified and participated in the State Summer Games May 17-18 at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
