BABSON PARK – Dale R. Fair Babson Park Elementary shared some fun reading tips and strategies with kindergarten parents during a recent Family Night program.
Reading consultant Dr. Richard Culyer (pictured in hat) demonstrated ways to read with children by reading the book “Caps For Sale” while teacher Donna Partington (far left) turned the pages. Dr. Culyer showed how to ask questions on predicting what happens next, and discussed new vocabulary words such as “peddler” and the term “monkey see monkey do.”
Later, Dr. Culyer posed with kindergarten teachers (l-r) Gail Frankenburger, Alicia Gravel, Christine Pope, Pam Dicks, Robin Jolley and Donna Partington.
The Family Night program was sponsored by the school’s Kindergarten Support and Title I programs.
