LAKE WALES – Flag Leaders at Polk Avenue Elementary got special training recently from students in the Lake Wales High JROTC unit and Sgt. Henry Porter.
JROTC students worked with elementary students on the correct way to raise the flag, lower it, and fold it.
Polk Avenue Elementary Flag Leaders are Antonio Ancaya, Mercedes McLeod, Bethany Morrow, Dakota Phillips, Marlei Strickland, Michael Tibido and Elizabeth Wyatt.

JHW students ‘Soaring in the Arts’
LAKE WALES – Janie Howard Wilson Elementary musical and visual arts students shared their talents Tuesday (May 14) in a year-end “Soaring in the Arts” performance and exhibition for their school community. Music teacher Micky Caban and art teacher Tiffany Weaver coordinated the event.

Zach Gill signs Warner baseball scholarship
