Garden club gets dirty

LAKE WALES – The new garden club at Lake Wales High School has its hands full – of shovels, rakes, weeds and dirt.

Students have been working hard to clear out an overgrown area on the LWHS campus to create a new Highlander Farms garden, so they can grow crops to sell to parents, teachers and eventually the general public at the downtown Lake Wales Farmers’ Market.
