LAKE WALES – Green Team members Damian Chaulkun, Timothy Colter and Mario Delgado crush aluminum cans “for the cure” to reduce their bulk before packaging them to redeem for recycling.
Polk Avenue Elementary is raising money to support its school team in the upcoming Relay For Life on April 21, sponsored by the American Cancer Society.

Staff triumphs in annual softball game
LAKE WALES – Age and experience triumphed over youth and energy when Janie Howard Wilson staff faced fifth graders in the elementary school’s annual spring softball game last week. The adults won the game 22-8.
