Green Team happy to learn about energy

Jan 16th, 2013

LAKE WALES – The Janie Howard Wilson Elementary Green Team traveled to the “happiest place on earth” in December to learn about energy.

A Progress Energy grant paid for the magical behind-the-scenes learning experience at Walt Disney World, and Viking Recycling of Lake Wales sponsored the other travel expenses for students.

JHW Green Team students focus on science, ecology, and help coordinate school recycling efforts under the direction of science teacher Molly Garrett.
