LAKE WALES – Kindergarten students from Hillcrest Elementary shared some joyful Valentine’s Day love songs and presented homemade cards to residents of The Grove on Feb. 14. Nearly 120 students visited the nursing home, which is close to the school.

Staff triumphs in annual softball game
LAKE WALES – Age and experience triumphed over youth and energy when Janie Howard Wilson staff faced fifth graders in the elementary school’s annual spring softball game last week. The adults won the game 22-8.
