Crazy Fish offered several delicious prizes to help Hillcrest Elementary’s Encore raise money to offset competition expenses. Encore Director Cathy Montero and Crazy Fish owner Jean Christensen said the promotion raised more than $1,200.
The Encore show choir is preparing for annual competition and music assessment at Orlando’s Universal Studios. Encore competes against other groups of all ages at the Music USA festival. In the past, Encore has won first place and Grand Champion awards.

LAKE WALES – Lake Wales High’s Special Olympic track and field relay team qualified and participated in the State Summer Games May 17-18 at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
LAKE WALES –– Hillcrest Elementary kindergarten students are celebrating the end of school by reading their own copies of “Change The World Before Bedtime” by Mark Kimball Moulton, Josh Chalmers and Karen Good.
LAKE WALES – Age and experience triumphed over youth and energy when Janie Howard Wilson staff faced fifth graders in the elementary school’s annual spring softball game last week. The adults won the game 22-8.
