Hillcrest students excel in NFL Punt, Pass and Kick

Nov 21st, 2011

LAKE WALES – Three Hillcrest Elementary students – Takira Taylor, Jacaree Taylor and Tyquarious Hall – excelled at the Sectional NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition held recently at One Buccaneer Place in Tampa.

Now they wait to see if their scores are high enough to beat others in age group sectionals held in Jacksonville and Miami. If they move on, they will compete during the Bucs vs. Dallas game on Dec. 17.

Physical education coach Debra Knuth taught the skills and organized the school-level competition. NFL Punt, Pass and Kick is a national program, and champions can make it all the way to finals held during Super Bowl festivities.
