JH Wilson hosts Grandparent’s Day celebration

Sep 30th, 2010

LAKE WALES – About 20 grandparents created a real celebration during the recent second grade Grandparent’s Day at Janie Howard Wilson Elementary. The second graders had the chance to eat lunch, interview and talk to their grandparents about school experiences “then and now.”

One grandmother said “I hope this is one of the days that he will remember me spending with him.” Teachers encouraged students to compare and contrast the similarities and differences in their school routines and their grandparents’ educational experiences.
