LAKE WALES – To honor the creativity of Dr. Seuss, teachers and students at Janie Howard Wilson Elementary celebrated “Wacky Wednesday” on March 6. Clothing was bright and fluffy; room decorations were turned upside down; and green eggs and ham were served – of course!
Dr. Seuss’ birthday was March 2.

Third grader throws out first pitch
LAKELAND – The crowd went wild Tuesday (May 21) when third grader Carlos Salgado (pictured) threw out the first pitch at the Lakeland Flying Tigers baseball game against the Fort Myers Miracles.

Special Olympians compete at State Games

Kindergarten gets special gift
LAKE WALES –– Hillcrest Elementary kindergarten students are celebrating the end of school by reading their own copies of “Change The World Before Bedtime” by Mark Kimball Moulton, Josh Chalmers and Karen Good.
