Jun 22nd, 2010

LAKE WALES – The Lake Wales Charter Schools’ Board of Trustees is welcoming two new members this month while saying goodbye to two others.

Bok Academy teacher Colby Pike was sworn in Monday (June 21) as the non-voting Seat 1 teacher representative. He replaced Laurncille Anderson, guidance counselor at Janie Howard Wilson Elementary, who served as the Seat 1 representative during the 2009-2010 school year.

Also sworn in Monday was Keith Wadsworth, representing Seat 7. He replaced Robin Gibson, who has served on the Board of Trustees since the Lake Wales Charter Schools system was created in 2003.

Gibson will remain involved in LWCS activities as the system’s legal counsel and as chair of the LWCS Foundation.

Current board member Pat Cain, Seat 6, was sworn in for a new three-year term on the Board of Trustees.

Trustees re-elected David Ullman as Chairman, and Cassandra Denmark as Vice-Chair.
