LAKE WALES – Lake Wales High will host a special ESPN parent night on Monday, March 18 to help families understand end-of-year exams and graduation requirements.
ESPN stands for “Exam Strategies Parent Night.” The free event starts at 5:30 p.m. Monday with pizza and soft drinks in the café. Following a brief welcome at 6 p.m. in the auditorium, parents will hear an overview of ACT/SAT and class graduation requirements. Afterward, they may attend up to three sessions on a variety of topics, including AP/IB, FCAT reading, and end-of-course exams in algebra, geometry and biology.
“We want to help parents get in the game, and on the right channel to help their students prepare for the end of the year,” said Krista Thompson, the school’s Title I facilitator.
Those who attend will be eligible to win gift cards and other prizes during the evening.
To help with food planning, reservations are requested but not required. Please call the school at 678-4222 to RSVP for the pizza dinner.
