LAKE WALES – Some happy Lake Wales High seniors enjoyed a special barbecue lunch Friday (May 20) in the new LWHS agriculture facility. The party celebrated the achievements of about 120 students who have been accepted to colleges, universities and the military.
About 300 seniors will participate in the 2011 graduation at Bok Tower Gardens. This year’s graduation is set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4.

JHW students ‘Soaring in the Arts’
LAKE WALES – Janie Howard Wilson Elementary musical and visual arts students shared their talents Tuesday (May 14) in a year-end “Soaring in the Arts” performance and exhibition for their school community. Music teacher Micky Caban and art teacher Tiffany Weaver coordinated the event.

Zach Gill signs Warner baseball scholarship
LAKE WALES – Lake Wales High’s Zach Gill signed a baseball scholarship with Warner University during a Thursday morning (May 16) ceremony at the high school.
