LAKE WALES – Most Lake Wales Charter Schools will host orientations Thursday (Aug. 16) to help students and parents prepare for the first day of school on Monday. (School schedules for starting and dismissal times are listed in parentheses.)
- Dale R. Fair Babson Park Elementary, orientation 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16
(Morning bell 7:55 a.m.; dismissal at 2:30 p.m. for buses; 2:33 p.m. for car riders and walkers) - Hillcrest Elementary, orientation 9-11 a.m. or 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16
(Morning bell 8 a.m.; dismissal at 2:25 p.m.) - Janie Howard Wilson Elementary, orientation 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. or 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16
(Morning bell 7:50 a.m.; dismissal at 2:45 p.m.) - Polk Avenue Elementary, orientation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16
(Morning bell 8 a.m.; dismissal 2:45 p.m.) - Bok Academy, orientation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. The school’s uniform vendor will be on site during the 5-7 p.m. orientation. (Morning bell 8:55 a.m.; dismissal at 3:52 p.m.)
Orientation for Lake Wales High School students was Tuesday, but new students can continue to register during regular office hours. (Morning bell 7 a.m.; dismissal 2 p.m.)

LAKE WALES – Lake Wales High School has several community partners who will share their parking lots for graduation guests next week.
LAKELAND – The crowd went wild Tuesday (May 21) when third grader Carlos Salgado (pictured) threw out the first pitch at the Lakeland Flying Tigers baseball game against the Fort Myers Miracles.
LAKE WALES – Lake Wales High’s Special Olympic track and field relay team qualified and participated in the State Summer Games May 17-18 at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
