Youth Leadership visits Grove House

Feb 28th, 2012

LAKE WALES – Local high school juniors participating in the Chamber’s Youth Leadership Lake Wales program spent time recently learning about an industry that’s all around them – citrus.

Students visited the Florida’s Natural Grove House on Highway 27 to find out more about the history of the citrus industry in Florida, and learn about the impact that citrus has on their community today.

Youth Leadership Lake Wales is a year-long program designed to bring together a diverse group of high school juniors from area schools who have demonstrated leadership potential. The program is sponsored by the Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce.
